The Barefoot Spa

Website Copywriting

Objective
The new owner wanted to:

Bring her own identity to the business
Retain existing clients
Highlight new specialized massage offerings, such as prenatal and neuromuscular massage
Grow the business with new clients and private spa parties
Display a commitment to the local community

With multiple audiences to reach, the website copy needed to showcase a fresh new look for The Barefoot Spa and appeal to various audience groups.

Process
We met virtually to discuss:

Her vision for the business
Prioritize her offerings for the message
VOC (Voice of the Customer) creation
Ways she planned to connect with the community
The home page copy was drafted and sent to the client to help her see how the VOC would drive the story. Once approved, the remaining website pages were written.

A virtual meeting was scheduled to review and discuss any client questions or requests for revisions. The final copy was sent to the website designer for implementation.

Project Takeaway:
Some clients come to me with a clear understanding of their VOC. The ones that don’t rely on me to help them create one during the creative process.

Tip:
A VOC document is a central piece of your business’s foundation. It can be provided to employees and anyone involved in your marketing or content creation to ensure the story you tell sounds like it should.
